💧 AQUA is an advanced management system that uses the water resource to irrigate the trials in the Landlab experimental area, it consists of a main control unit that handles numerous solenoid valves, and 12 RTUs that communicates with it in a radio system connected to a programming software.👨💻
Therefore, AQUA enables us to:
🔹have information on the amount of water and time used, which we will include in our reports, increasing the quality of our research;
🔹improve the management of the entire experimental area as it will be accessible even remotely, in fact we can turn on and off the solenoid valves sitting comfortably in front of a computer;
🔹know in real time the presence of any water leaks, the flow rate of our wells, and safeguard the pumps with a blocking system in case of necessity.
This is another big step towards our goal: to achieve a “fair” agriculture also by maximizing the efficient use of water. We are sowing a change! 🙌 🌱
