SACCO SYSTEM and Landlab has co-financed a PhD at the University of Turin entitled “Analysis of plant and microbial genetic diversity for resilience agriculture”. 👨🎓 👩🎓
This is the first time that we are co-financing a scholarship, and this topic will give us the opportunity to extend knowledge in this field.
The aim of the PhD project, in fact, is to analyse and understand the genetic aspects underlying the response of plants to mycorrhizal fungi and soil bacteria, and to encourage more sustainable agricultural practices through plant phenotyping, high-throughput methods and genetic association analysis. 🔬 🌱
The #PhD student will be supported by our supervisor who will accompany him throughout his journey in our company; in addition to the theoretical research done at the university, he will take care of the applied one here with us. 👨🔬 👩🔬
Thanks to the technologies we have available, the study of the microbiome can be done in depth. Even if the study will require time and dedication, with the use of technologies in different fields to address the issues from different points of view, we will succeed in this venture! 🙌 ✨
Despite the complexity of this topic, it has a huge richness, because it will require the merge of different expertise. We therefore expect an enrichment, especially for the student we are about to welcome, because he will have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge in different fields. 📚 💯
